Flame Treatment

Physical pre-treatment can improve the bond strength of the adhesive significantly.

 

Flame Treatment - The surface to be treated is briefly exposed to a flame,
oxidizing the surface (increasing surface energy) and removing contaminants.

  • Provides high treatment level, no backzone treatment and no ozone formation
  • Suitable for differing profiles and contours
  • Most suitable substrates are polyolefins (PE, PP) and metal surfaces
